Director of Urban Development LCC Andrew Paul said that the investor chose the area for the stadium for "Eurobasket - 2015." With over eight areas that were proposed by the city council, one territory was chosen on the Riashivska street. The idea of building was taken from the famous Lithuanian stadium "Shauliai Arena", but Lviv project will be created on the basis of geological aspects and all the wishes of the organizers. From the aforesaid, the new stadium will be located on area near the projected road Riashivska-Proektna, which leads the new terminal. There is a plan to build office and hotel complexes and a shopping center, therefore designing the stadium here looks pretty reasonable. According to Andrew Pavliv, the new stadium is multifunctional, because it gives possibility to organize not only various sport competitions, but also it is appropriate for concerts.
